Beate's Weekend Sketch WSC #41

Hello everyone! I hope you had a great weekend! Mine was quite busy, but I managed to get Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge done and uploaded on Splitcoaststampers. Everything but the brad and ribbon is Stampin Up! The paper collection is Recollections and the stamp set is Think Happy Thoughts. I love this set because it can be used in conjunction with the poplar scallop punch! I used Chocolate Chip and Baroque Burgundy ink. Simple, yet elegant card. Thanks for the great layout Beate!

Last night I decided to sort out my "scraps". Do you know what I'm talking about? It's those pieces of card stock and patterned paper that are left over from your project that you think you can still make use of. I am embarrassed to admit how small some of my scraps were, and I still kept them! Can anyone relate? Please let me know I am not alone! I have been on a mission since the new year to get organized and I'm almost done.

I did this card a couple weeks ago, using scraps I saved. See, I did use them! The "friends" stamp is from Art Impressions and brackets stamp by 7gypsies. The "Miss U" are rub-on letters. Flower is from Bazzill. Patterned paper is MME. I inked the edges with Colorbox Chalks.

I will be posting the scrapbook layout I did of the Easter egg hunt I took my son on at our local zoo shortly. I used Bo Bunny - Spring Jewels product line. It came out really colorful.

Have a good day!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! I hope you are having a wonderful holiday.

The last of my guests just left and I'm tired.

I cooked for only 8 people, but it's a lot to prepare. It's all good though!

Friday night my husband & I took our son to see the Easter bunny at the mall. The picture turned out great and both Grandmothers would surely want their copy. I created this card that opens up and stands on it's own to display his picture. They loved it!

Saturday we took Brandon to the zoo on an Easter egg hunt. It was only 30 degrees but we had a good time. The hunt was set up inside as were most of the activities. It was a good time. I couldn't wait to scrapbook my pictures, so ended up going to bed way too late to get the layout done. Everyone enjoyed looking at the pictures today.

I hope you had a wonderful Easter! God bless you!

Spring Is In The Air!

Happy first day of Spring!

It doesn't feel much like spring weatherwise, but in your local scrapbook store I'm sure it does!

I bought some of this paper from imaginisce "For Peeps's Sake". It's Easter and very spring-like. It's double sided so you can really make use out of this paper for cards! The ribbon is from American Crafts.

I'd love to see the spring and Easter cards your working on! E-mail me a photo or link to your cards and I may choose yours to post on my site!

Happy Day After St. Patricks Day!

Somehow, my post yesterday got screwed up and the picture disappeared. Oh well. I am still learning how to blog.

Anyways, I love the DCWV Spring line of paper and stickers. This card was made from that line. The flower on the tab is glittered in the center so I grabbed my glitter pen and dotted the centers of the flowers in the patterened paper. It's very subtle and soft looking. The stamp is by Hero Arts.

I hope you had a great St. Patricks Day and hopefully next year I will have a holiday themed card to share with you.

Scrapbook Pages!

Easter is only a week away! Boy, is it early this year!

These scrapbook pages are from my son's first Easter in 2006. I got this blue one piece bunny outfit and everyone got a big kick out of it. I used my Cricut for the "Easter Bunny" letters in this layout. I love my Cricut!

I hope you had a great weekend and I'll have some more cards and scrapbook pages soon.

I'm in love . . .

with Riley the Moose (Hanna Stamps)! Yes, another card, different stamp, with my buddy! He is soooooooooo cute!
This paper was in my collection and I thought was a perfect match for the design! Unfortunately, there is no manufacturers name on the paper whatsoever. Weird! It fits and I got to use up some of my stash!

The border on the side of the moose stamp I created myself! I used my SU! slot punch and Crop-A-Dile to create it. Clever, isn't it? I had to play around with my scraps a little to figure it out just right, but it didn't take long. Wanna know how? Let me know & I'll post a tutorial!
Well, my son is in bed and my husband is reading. Sounds like a perfect time to stamp or scrapbook!

Good night and sweet dreams!

Beate's Weekend Sketch WSC #39

I just love the inspiration from Beate with the "Weekend Sketch Challenge"!

All the paper used is from Stampin Up! I used a SU! punch and markers. The cute flower girl stamp is from Elzybells Art Stamps, Ltd. I have three versions of the same girl and love them all! I have long blonde hair so I like to think she kinda looks like me! I'm silly, I know!

I plan to post some scrapbook pages hopefully tomorrow! As always, I'd love to hear from you so don't hesitate to comment or send me an e-mail!

TGIF!!!

I'm glad it's Friday!!! How about you?

I made some pretty spring cards last night using the "Spring" collection from DCWV. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but their stickers/embellishments have a touch of glitter on them. I hope to brush up on my photo editing this weekend to bring you clearer pictures.

Sorry for the short post today, but I need to get ready for work!
Have a great Friday!

New Item on Ebay!!!

See what happens when you get snowed in on the weekend - you get a lot done!

I designed and created these 4 cards with matching storage tin this weekend! I like the way it turned out and I think it would make a great gift for someone. For my mother-in-law birthday, I made her a set of all occasion cards with envelopes stamped and ready to go. She loved them! She lives in an independent living senior home and they exchange cards for birthdays, well wishes, etc. They go through cards like crazy, so this was the perfect gift.

The paper and rub-ons used on these cards is the Squeeze paper collection by Sweetwater. The cardstock is SU! of course! I also used some SU! punches and flowers. Marvy punches were used as well.

This set is posted on Ebay but if you would like a set, drop me an e-mail!

I hope the week is going good for you. Stay tuned and thanks for stopping by!

Snowed In!

Hello friends!
We are snowed in again. Although the snow has stopped, we have about 2 ft in our driveway! March certainly has come in like a lion!

Speaking about animals, has anyone seen Riley the Moose by Hanna Stamps? I love him and bought two of the stamps. He is a cutie! This card I made yesterday for my sister. She has two kids ages 3 & 5 (see photo below). Need I say more? I am going to enclose in the card some pictures of all the kids together (hers and mine) from her visit in January.

Besides the Hanna Stamp, I also used Hero Arts stamp for the saying, Making Memories brad, SU! punch, SU! pens/pencils/ink, and the really cool "Well Worn" paper by The Paper Loft. Let me know what you think about the combination!

My work room is not in order, so I didn't photograph it this weekend to show you. Maybe next weekend. Stay tuned!

Beate's Weekend Sketch Challege #38

Happy Saturday Friends!
One of the blogs I regularly visit is http://beate.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/. She does some awesome work for Splitcoaststampers! Every weekend she has a sketch challenge. I entered one of my Easter cards this weekend! All the paper and stamps of course are Stampin Up! The flowers are Prima and brads are from Making Memories. I hope to start up my Splitcoaststampers Gallery also.

We got almost a foot of snow between yesterday & today, so it's a great weekend to cozy up and stay in!

I also made some baby cards for a couple of my friends who just found out they were pregnant. The stickers are from Pebbles Inc and the white flowers are from Prima. All the cardstock is Stampin Up! Ribbon is from Michaels Arts & Crafts. The punch I used on the corners is an EK Success punch.

Stay tuned for some scrapbook pages posts and hopefully a link to my Splitcoaststampers Gallery!

Have a great weekend!
