Stampin' Up! Scallop Punch Wreath

I can't believe Christmas is only 11 days away! Are you ready? I am in pretty good shape. My son's birthday was last week and he turned 3. I was busy getting ready for that and finishing up my Christmas shopping.

The Christmas card I am sharing with you today will give you another use for that SU! Scallop Circle punch. I made a wreath out of it by first punching out a 1 inch circle out of Garden Green cardstock. Then I centered the Scallop Circle punch over the open circle on the green cardstock and punched out the wreath! The berries were made using the Double Circle punch. I made them sparkle with a few little dabs of red Stickles.

I had one of those moments today that put things back in perspective. In the middle of the church service today I had to take my son out in the hall. He was getting unsettled. While we were out in the hallway, we ran into a foster mom who just picked up a foster child from the Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh. He is 3 years old and both hands were covered in bandages. He was crying a very helpless cry. He wanted to be held one minute and put down the next. He was so unsettled. The foster mom told me his hands were burned with boiling water. He also freaks out around doors because he thinks someone is coming after him. I didn't know this little boy at all, but my heart just aches for him. I found out this was his 2nd or 3rd foster home now and remember he is only 3 years old! Please keep him in your prayers. He has a lot of healing that needs to take place.

Thank you for visiting my blog today!

A Little Something for Christmas

Greetings friends!

It's another blustery weekend here in Erie, PA! I had some time to create 1/2 dozen of these coaster calendars. They make great gifts when you just need a little something to give someone for Christmas.

I covered a bare coaster in some old Anna Griffin paper I had in my stash. I added Prima & Bazzill flowers with a pink dew drop in the center. The stem with leaves is Maya ribbon. The cream colored fiber is from JoAnn's $1 bin. I also added a couple extra dew drops on the top left-hand corner. You can also add a magnet to the back or I used a clip to hang it up. Only the top page of these little calendars are decorated for Christmas. They are so fun to use. Just peel off the back label and stick to whatever your project may be! Very fun!

I am working on baking this weekend too! I make quite an array of Christmas cookies for the holiday. I have two different kinds made so far. I try to have 6-8 different cookies. I love to bake and gift them for people to enjoy. There is nothing like homemade cookies!

Have a wonderful Sunday and stay warm! Thanks for stopping by!

Lake Erie Beach Glass Snowman Card

I am quite pleased with the way my beach glass snowmen turned out on these cards. These were really fun to make! I am lucky enough to live about 15-20 minutes away from the beach. All summer my son & I collected beach glass every time we visited the beach.

I wanted my snowmen to be the center of attention on these cards, so I used Stampin' Up! Whisper White cardstock for all the layers. I used scallop rectangular Nestabilities for two layers and ran the largest one through my Big Shot using a snowflake Cuttlebug embossing folder. The smaller rectangular piece with the snowman is mounted on pop dots. I used BIC Mark It fine point permanent markers to detail my snowman. They are awesome markers that dry instantly. Love it! The "Merry Christmas" stamp from Hero Arts was stamped in Real Red and Handsome Hunter from Stampin' Up!

Let me know what you think? It's different - hopefully in a good way!

Have a wonderful Tuesday and thank you for visiting my blog today!
