Hello Yellow! Stampin Up Sale-A-Bration Ends Tomorrow!

Tomorrow is the final day to take advantage of the current Stampin’ Up! promotion sale-a-bration! For every $50 in merchandise you spend, you get a free set from sale-a-bration mini catalog! This is one of my favorite promotions of the year. Don’t miss out!!!!

I like to play with different card sizes to keep things interesting. This card is a 4.25 square that fits comfortably in Stampin Up! Medium Square Envelopes (item #107289).

I started off with my Delicate Dots (sale-a-bration #114674) Designer Series paper. I felt like yellow for my main color. Spring is here, right? I think so. There was snow on the ground this morning. Anyway, I cut and attached to the entire front of the card a piece of yellow patterned paper from this collection (4.25 x 4.25).

Next, I took the striped paper from the set and ran it through my Big Shot using the Scallop Circle Die. I cut the die cut in half and attached it to the top portion of my card.

Whisper White cardstock and a Martha Stewart border punch finished off the bottom portion of my card.

The center of the card utilizes two stamp sets – Polka Dot Punches (sale-a-bration #113788) for the flowers and Hostess Set (level 1) Darling Dots for the leaves. They go well together, don’t you think? I love it when it works out that way!

I stamped my flowers in Bashful Blue ink on Whisper White cardstock and punched them out using the 5 Petal Flower Punch. I layered behind it the same flower in Bashful Blue cardstock. The leaves were stamped in Old Olive and cut out by yours truly. Sorry, no Stampin’ Up! leaf punches yet. Hmmm. Maybe I should send them the idea!

The flowers needed a little something, so I dug into my button stash and found the perfect buttons from the Button Bouquet collection.

Lastly, a sentiment. Love and Happiness Rub-Ons (retired - see possible alternatives under recipe at the bottom of this post) had just the right sentiment in the right color for this card. I love rub-ons. Super easy to add to any creation. Love them!!!

I hope you took advantage of the promotion and if not, you have until midnight Tuesday.

Happy Monday and thank you for visiting my blog today!

3...2...1...Blast Off!

Is there any little boy out there that doesn't like rockets or spaceships? I doubt it!

My nephew has a birthday coming up so I thought this spaceship from Stampin' Up! Pun Fun set would be a blast! Hee hee!

I used Taken With Teal cardstock for my card base. I stamped my spaceship in black on Very Vanilla cardstock and colored it in with Taken With Teal and Green Galore. The patterned paper is from my scrap pile of leftovers (not sure what mfg - sorry!). The hardware on the upper left hand side are Jumbo Eyelets.

I sure hope my nephew finds this card out of this world! Just kidding! I do hope he enjoys it. Now I just need to shop for a gift! Fun, fun, fun!!!!

Have a nice relaxing Sunday and don't forget to take time to stamp! Thanks for stopping by!

B . . . Happy Happy Happy!

I'm just buzzing by to wish you happy Friday and great weekend to come!

Don't forget to use your papercrafting tools when your papercrafting. My paper crimper was collecting dust on my desk. It's an oldie, but a goodie! I love to use the crimper to add dimension and texture to a card. I've also used this tool in scrapbooking to make rugged backgrounds for embellishments on a scrapbook page.

If you have any other ideas for this neat little tool, please share!

Happy Friday and thanks for stopping by!

Springtime Trendy Trees

I have slowly been bringing out my Easter/Spring decorations to spruce up the house! After Christmas, everything appears so dull and boring. I picked up a new decoration this year that I snuck behind the card I'm sharing with you today. It's a small decorative bird bath with two little birds sitting on the edge. I added a little green berry wreath along the edge to add some color to it. I figured I would put candy in the center. Maybe some chocolate Easter egg candy? Mmmm!

Last week I had a birthday, so I mass produced a bunch of these thank you cards to give to my friends and family. I sure hope they like them and feel the touch of Spring I brought to each card.

The card is pretty self explanatory except for maybe how I did my hills. I drew the two hills freehand on Green Galore cardstock, cut them out, inked the top edges with the Close to Cocoa ink pad, and layered them one on top the other. Does that make sense? If not, leave me a comment or drop me an e-mail. I'd love to help you out with your creations. The spring-like tree stamps are from the Trendy Trees set in the current Stampin' Up! catalog. This has been such a poplar set! Just about every customer of mine has ordered this. It's a very fun set you can use year-round. I can just picture this set in the fall with red, brown, and gold leaves.

Don't forget, the last day to take advantage of the Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration is March 31st! Less than 1 week to go. You can order directly from my SU! website or drop me an e-mail at tiffanyscardtique@verizon.net.

Have a wonderful day and thank you for visiting my blog today!

Quiz: How creative are you?

Take the creativity quiz to find out how creative you are. I stumbled across this fun little quiz. I know, you hear the word quiz and you start sweating. Never fear . . . it's very interesting and fun! It only takes a couple minutes and it's easy.

I turned out to be eyes wide open. Hmmm. Let me know what it says about you?

Spring has Sprung!

Good morning! I am just writing up a quick little post today because I will be off shortly for some retail therapy. I'm very excited!!!

Spring has sprung, but we actually woke up to a little snow yesterday! Typical Erie, PA weather. I was not surprised. Since the weather didn't look like spring, I thought my creation today would!

The design of the card was created using the card sketch challenge SC219 from Splitcoaststampers website. Click HERE to view the challenge. I made a little matching pillow box using the SU! Pillow Box Bigz Die to add a little something sweet to.

Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for visiting today!

A Little Birdie Told Me . . .

The first day of Spring is this Friday! Thank the Lord! I need something to energize me.

I mentioned in my last post the weekend wasn't so great, well neither is this week! What's going on? I am totally stressed out at work. Home can be stressful at times too. There is never enough time to get everything done. It's frustrating.

There is no better therapy than stamping! Today's creation utilizes Cheep Talk and Good Morning Sunshine paper from Stampin' Up! I find myself pulling out that paper every time I use this stamp set. They just really coordinate well together.

I just received some new goodies in the mail yesterday from the upcoming new occasions mini catalog (starting April 1st - no joke!). I have my copies in hand and will be sending them out to my regular customers next week! If you are not a regular customer of mine and would like one, drop me an e-mail. I only have a limited supply, so don't wait too long.

Enjoy your day and thank you for visiting my blog today!

Happy Bee Day!

I just love these Stampendous bee's. They are so darling. I colored them up and added a little sparkle with Diamond Stickles. My hardware is a Stampin' Up! Flower Designer Brad. The "happy birthday" around the brad is from SU! Think Happy Thoughts set. I tell you, I couldn't live without my SU! Mat Pack. I used to paper pierce freehand and it was always uneven and just sloppy. This cute little handy pack is a lifesaver if you like to paper pierce. For under $10, it's a cool tool!

There are lots of birthdays in March, so I always need to have some bee-day cards on hand.

My weekend was a little busier and stressful than I would have liked it to be, but oh well. That's old news now, right? Right! This weekend I am planning a shopping trip with my BFF to the outlets. Hopefully nothing will get in the way. I need some "me" time.

Bee good and have a buzzing day! I'm silly, I know! :)

A Bouncing Baby Boy Is On The Way!

Did I trick you with my blog title today? It's not me that's expecting, but a friend of mine is having a boy by c-section next week, on my birthday! How cool is that?!

When I was pregnant with Brandon I bought more baby scrapbooking supplies than you could imagine! They are all masculine because I found out ahead of time I was having a boy. It wasn't hard to put together this card for her!

The lovely saying is a vellum sticker from AMM (All My Memories). I dressed it up with some soft color buttons and a shimmery cream ribbon to match the cardstock and patterned paper.

TGIF! Aren't you glad it's the weekend? I sure am. Too much to do, so little time. I'll be back again this weekend! Enjoy!!!!

Wedding Invitations

Hello friends! I have a cute story to share about my son and then I'll write about my creation today.

Last night we had Chinese for dinner. He grabbed the fortune cookie right away and I told him he could eat it after dinner. As I'm cleaning up the table after dinner, he breaks open the cookie. I ask him, "what does your fortune say?", thinking he either won't reply or ask what a fortune is (he's only 3). He responds, "it says I should eat this cookie!" How he came up with that is beyond me! He has such a personality. Too cute!

I am currently working on wedding invitations for a customer. This was the first draft. I used Stampin' Up! Very Vanilla for the base color and Ruby Red for the accent color. The embossing was created using the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder. It's a little hard to see in the photo, but I aged the embossed cardstock with Creamy Caramel and stamped the heart in that color too. The heart is from the Sale-a-bration catalog, Polka Dot Punches, expiring the end of this month. The "You're Invited" is from the Sincere Salutations collection. She indicated her dress has quite a bit of lace, so I thought the lace ribbon would be the perfect touch.

I'll be back later with a baby card! It appears to be wedding and baby time - not for me though! :)

Have a wonderful day!

Thinking of you . . . with one hour less of sleep!

Good morning! I'm surprised at myself for saying "good". We turned the clocks forward yesterday which meant 1 hour less of sleep. Not good! My little one was flipping out this morning. He did not want to get up and everything was a bother! His finger hurt where he cut it yesterday, he didn't like the shirt I picked out, he ate his breakfast like a turtle making us late to leave the house. I can stop there! Too funny!

I used Stampin Up Rose Red & Chocolate Chip for my creation today! The patterned paper is SU! retired Designer Series Paper, Recollections. I made my own brad by punching out one of the flowers from the paper and using the Antique Brass Build-A-Brad kit. Does the tree look familiar? Yep, you guessed it - Thoughts & Prayers. The saying is from the Trendy Trees set I will be showing you later this week. I'm into trees lately. I hope you don't mind. I'll get over it. :)

With my coffee in hand, I have to sign off. Busy day at work today. Have a good Monday and early to bed for me tonight!

Who Needs Stamps - Emboss It!

Ok, so I did use a stamp on this but it's just one little word. The majority of this creation was created using the Stampin' Up! Sizzix Simple Flower Embosslit and a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. The layout was inspired by last weeks Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge (SC217). The color mix was from another challenge. I had to use Cameo Coral, Tempting Turquoise, and Chocolate Chip. Cameo Coral is probably one of my least favorite Stampin' Up! colors so it was a stretch for me to use this.

The photo to the right is a little darker because I wanted to capture how I chalked the edges in Chocolate Chip around the Cameo Coral. Hopefully you can see it in this picture. Chalking is difficult to photograph because it's so subtle.

So TGIF in a big way! The weather is going to be warm this weekend. I need hit Kohls for a few things this weekend. I am working with a bride-to-be on custom wedding invitations. I'm always busy with something! It's all good!

Be sure to stop back soon or subscribe to my blog in the upper left hand corner to automatically get e-mailed when I post. I was having difficulty with Feedblitz, but it seems to be fixed now. Please let me know if you subscribe and are not receiving updates. Thank you very much!!!

Enjoy your day and happy stamping!

3 Little Chicks

Spring is in the air! Tomorrow it's supposed to get near 50 degrees here. Heat wave!!

I have an organizational unit in my craft room where I store all my holiday stamps. There are one or two drawers for each major holiday. I opened the Easter drawer to see what goodies were in there and came across these three little chicks that is a stamp from Magenta. Aren't they sweet?

I started this Easter card using Lovely Lilac SU! cardstock for the card base. The fun green polka dot paper is from DCWV Spring Collection. I stamped my image in black and colored in the chicks with SU! YoYo Yellow, Only Orange, Lovely Lilac, and Pretty in Pink. The background was lightly colored in green using watercolor pencils and a blender pen. I cut out each stamped image and layered it on top a piece of Basic Gray cardstock. I used Whisper White cardstock and the Scallop Edge punch to add another layer above my chicks. The finishing touch was adding Prima flowers.

I hope you are having a great week! My son & I are still recovering from our colds. They are just hanging on a little bit. Last night I was very excited to purchase tickets to see Joel Osteen in Columbus, OH in May! He is such an inspiration and I've wanted to catch one of his events for several years now. I'm very excited to be going!

Enjoy the rest of your day and stop back soon! Take care and happy stamping!

Praying for You . . .

Happy March! Thank you all for your well wishes and prayers while I was sick. I have some great friends out there. Your prayers inspired my creation for today!

I’ve said before how much I love the Stampin’ Up! set Thoughts & Prayers. I used it for today’s creation. I stamped the tree in white craft ink on Basic Gray cardstock and paper pierced around the edge. I dug out of my paper stash some very pretty pastel patterned paper from Melissa Frances. I just love her line of products. They are soft, pretty, and vintage looking. Anyways, the patterned paper matched up beautifully with SU! Pink Pirouette cardstock. Another perfect match is the SU! buttons. Just a little something to finish it off.

Here is a little Stampin’ Up! news flash. There is a really nice occasions mini catalog coming out April 1st. I have one in my hands & it’s awesome! The good news is there are a select number of stamps from the mini you can order now to get a head start on your Easter creations. Check it out below.

I’ve got my Vitamin Water and banana in hand this morning. After being so sick, I need to pump up the vitamins. My little one won’t take a Flintstones vitamin unless I take one with him. OMG! Come on, Flintstone vitamins are like candy!!! Children. :)

Have a wonderful Monday! Thank you for visiting my blog today!

Stampin' Up! items you can order today from upcoming April 1st Occasions Mini Catalog! To order, e-mail me at tiffanymiller1@verizon.net or order directly through my SU! website by clicking HERE.
