For You

We received almost 2 feet of snow since Thursday night! Brandon was singing Christmas carols this morning. This evening, I painted my nails a subtle shade of pink in hopes that Spring will arrive soon.

I brought a little Spring flower into my creation today. The flower you see on the card was created using 4 circle punches from Stampin' Up! (3/4", 1", 1 1/4", 1 3/8"). All you do is crumble up the circle as tight as you can, unfold, and layer the different sizes. You could sand or ink the edges of the circle before you crumble it up to give it a distressed look. These are fun & easy to make. Give it a try!

The little label on the front of the card was stamped with Stampin' Up! Vintage Labels set. This stamp set is FREE with any $50 Stampin' Up! purchase. Each stamp in this set coordinates with a punch in the Idea Book & Catalog. It's a very pretty set. It comes in wood mounted or clear. Your choice! I prefer clear.

Check out the complete list of supplies for this card at the bottom of the post. As always, if you ever have any questions, please don't hesitate to email me.

Back to my nice warm cup of coffee and warm blanket! Happy stamping!

Sweet One

This was my first time using the new Stampin' Up! 2 Step Bird Punch. What fun! These new style of punches work with such ease. What I love about this punch is you get the leafy branch, bird, and a separate wing to customize your creation however you choose. You could punch out your bird on patterned paper and make a wing in a coordinating solid color. This punch has been a hot seller for Stampin' Up! Hopefully we'll see more styles of this sort in the near future!

The birds won't be singing here in Pennsylvania for awhile. We are getting another snow storm tonight & into tomorrow. Yuck! It's already snowing out there now. We are due to get about a foot of snow! At least tomorrow is Friday. I haven't worked in my craft cave all week. It was just one of those weeks where something was going on every night. By the time I had any free time, it was time for bed. If I could just figure out how to manage on less sleep. I am one of those people that needs 7-8 hours to feel good the next day. I'm jealous of those that can function on 5 hours sleep. Oh, the creations I could make with that extra time! I'm yawning as I type.

Off to bed. Good night and happy stamping this weekend!

Get Well Wishes

Have you been bitten by the flu bug this season? Thankfully, I have not! I do know a lot of people that had the flu this season. Get well cards have been flying off my craft table! Although I love cards with all kinds of layers and embellishments, I also like the clean & simple look. Sometimes less is more.

Stampin' Up! Teeny Tiny Wishes is by far my #1 choice for a stamp set of sentiments. It's got everything! I use it and reference it over and over in my blog posts because it's one of those sets you'll always use and never tire of. The "get well wishes" is from this set and the black stamped image is from the set Always. I used a piece of patterned paper from the Welcome Neighbor Designer Series Paper Pad you can receive FREE with any $50 Stampin' Up! purchase (Sale-A-Bration). Gotta love FREE stuff!

Have you been watching the Olympics? I just can't believe the strength these athletes have. The other night I was watching the speed skiing and it was just painful watching all that pressure they must feel in their knees. Yikes! I tried downhill skiing once. I didn't even make it down half the bunny hill. I fell so much I could barely move the next day. Needless to say, once was enough!

I'll stick with my cozy little craft room stamping my little heart out!

Purple Tulips?

Another Valentines Day has come & gone. This was my 11th Valentines Day with my husband and one I will never forget.

My favorite color is pink (in case you didn't already know - hee hee!) and my favorite flower is the tulip. My husband is the last minute shopper as most men are.

I don't want to sound ungrateful, but I woke up Sunday morning to a vase of purple tulips! I thought it was a bit odd. I don't think anyone has ever given me a bouquet of purple flowers. Interesting, isn't it? Usually the backup to pink for me is red or a mix bouquet, but the last minute shopper is subject to limited quantities . . . right? Right!

I decided to Google purple tulips to see what it means. It represents royalty! Works for me if my husband thinks I'm queen! It's the thought that counts, right? Right!
My sweetie, pictured above at age 2, got me a gift certificate for a massage! Now we're talking! He is going to make some woman very happy someday. This page was another addition to the 6x6 scrapbook I've been working on. You'll notice I added a little looped ribbon behind the photo piece on the top & bottom and finished off the page with a little Stampin' Up! Styled Vanilla Hardware. Very simple page and an easy subject to work with!

Happy stamping!

Scrapping!

I'm almost finished with my first 6x6 scrapbook album! I've never done any this small. I usually do the 12x12 ones. I think I enjoy the 6x6 more because you are more limited by the amount of pictures and embellishments. It's so much quicker!

I am especially proud of this album for two reasons. First, it's the first book I've completed using all Stampin' Up! products. Secondly, it's a book filled with all my favorite pictures of Brandon photographed alone. This book is just all about him! I know I will enjoy looking at it over and over again.

The page photographed at the top of this post was created using a sheet from the Stampin Up Welcome Neighbor Designer Series Paper Pad which you can receive FREE from the Sale-A-Bration flyer. I also used stamps from three different collections. The complete list of supplies can be found at the bottom of this post.

I am so glad tomorrow is Friday. TGIF! I can't wait to stamp some more this weekend and finish my album. Fun, fun, fun!

Have a good one!

With All My Heart

Is this card full of hearts of what? I used Stampin' Up! White Craft Ink to ink up the Victorian looking heart from the I {Heart} Hearts stamp collection. I love the white on red. The little decorative heart border on the bottom was punched out using the newly designed punches from Stampin' Up! called Pinking Hearts Border. Isn't it adorable?

Are you ready for Valentines Day next Sunday? Today I finished up my Valentines and treats to send my sister and nephews. It's all packaged up and ready to mail tomorrow. This week I need to work on the most important Valentine - the one for my hubby!

I did learn a really good tip from my Stampin' Up! upline this past week about the new clear stamps from Stampin Up. I've experienced trouble with the stamp sticking to the block. She told me to hold the stamp on the block for a full 3 seconds. I tried it out and ever since I've had no trouble. The 3 second rule also works to get them to cling inside the case they come in too. I'm so glad I learned this trick and I hope this helps you out as well!

I'm off to a Super Bowl party! Happy stamping!
